Drawn by André Groult in the 1920s, this motif blends undulating grasses with stylized daisies in a fluid, continuous movement. The overall effect is a soft, all-over design in which the apparent simplicity conceals a refined decorative sophistication.

André Mauny (1909-1990), fils d’un passementier et diplômé de l’École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, fonde en 1933 la maison Mauny avec le décorateur Robert Caillard. Passionné par les papiers peints anciens, il développe une collection unique mariant les grands classiques du XVIIIe siècle et l’élégance de l’Art déco.
